In September carriers paid 1.29 billion Czech crowns in tolls, which represented a year-on-year growth of 6.3 percent

Prague, 24 October 2022 – During September, carriers paid a total of 1.29 billion crowns, 6.3 percent more than in September 2021. The number of toll transactions increased by 8 percent in September to almost 100 million. The increase in toll collection is mainly due to an expansion of the toll road network and more frequent use of motorways by carriers, for which higher rates per kilometre are charged.

At the end of September, almost 720 thousand vehicles weighing over 3.5 tons were registered in the electronic toll system, of which over 547 thousand vehicles had foreign license plate numbers. The number of on-board units issued to carriers reached 580 thousand.
