Prague, 14 May 2020 – As of 1 July 2020, to log in users of the electronic toll system Customer Zone will need one of the identification tools which is accredited by the National Point for Identification and Authentication (www.eidentita.cz). The aim of the change is to ensure a higher standard of security for sensitive data of carriers and the toll system operator.
The National Point for Identification and Authentication www.eidentita.cz currently provides three identification tools that have been accredited and provide the required level of security. Users of the Customer Zone will have to choose one of the following methods for logging in from 1 July:
Carriers will be informed about the necessary changes via two-round direct mail, via POS materials at points of sale and selected communication tools of the ČESMAD Bohemia association. In the information campaign, carriers are reminded of the need to acquire one of the accepted means of identification before 1 July 2020.
The changes will take place in accordance with Act No. 250/2017 Coll. on electronic identification, and logging in the Customer Zone will no longer be possible after 1 July 2020 without the required means of identification. The change affects approximately 18,000 Czech carriers.
